The Bradley County Sheriff's Office was called out Saturday night around 11:30 P.M. to search for a missing hunter in the area of Prairie Island. Sheriff Rick Anders and his department along with Bradley County Search and Rescue and Arkansas Game and Fish officers, joined together in an effort to locate Scott Thompson of Warren. He was found Sunday morning around 11:30 A.M. and was transported to the hospital. Though suffering from being in the elements for an extended period of time, he is reported to be all right.
His boat was found tied up on the Ouachita River as he apparently got disoriented and could not found his way back. He had left the boat and was on land.
Sheriff Anders wishes to thank all the citizens who helped with the search and for all who provided food for those who worked all night and into the morning.
