Allen Frizzell, the brother to country music legend Lefty Frizzell, will be at Grace Cowboy Church Sunday, August 23.  He will be singing and sharing his personal testimony. Services at the church begin at 9:00 a.m.  It is located at 694 Bradley 22.  The pastor of the church is Brother Chris Barnes.

ALLEN FRIZZELL a.k.a ~the other brother Allen was born into a family rich in Country Music tradition. Since the early 1950’s the Frizzell brothers have been prominent on the music charts as artist and songwriters, having songs recorded by George Jones , Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitely and even pop artist Jewel. Allen the youngest brother in this legendary family his eldest brother being the legend Lefty Frizzell. Lefty a prolific artist & songwriter hall of famer, also known as the most influential vocalist of all time in Country Music. Grammy nominated, ACM & CMA award winner as well as two time song of the year honors is brother David Frizzell. In January of 2013 the Frizzell brother's Allen, David & Lefty will have recorded, written, and published hit song's in every decade since the 1950's, on the Pop music chart's the Country music chart's and the Christian country music charts. Allen helping carry the torch for the past 30 year's.

Like Lefty & David, Allen is more than a great vocalist, Allen truly captures the emotion of a song. He is also a talented musician and an outstanding songwriter earning BMI’s prestigious million-air performance award. BMI’s official recognition of achievement in American Music.

Allen started out on his musical journey at the age of nineteen. He started out with brother David singing and playing the guitar he later joined up with big brother Lefty for a brief tour. After touring with both brothers Allen soon realized he should be doing his own thing musically. He had recently become a Christian and felt the call to sing Gospel music. He proudly put together a little three-piece band they worked a couple of places but went no where fast. It was at that point he began following in his older brother’s footsteps singing Country Music. He assembled his own band and began working the West Coast. It soon paid off! Allen opened a show for Dottie West who impressed with his talent insist that he move to Nashville and work for her opening her show. After almost a year of Dottie’s persistence and right timing Allen finally got the courage to make the move. He took her up on the offer, touring with some of the biggest names in the business. Nashville has been Allen's home now for over thirty years.

Allen wrote a billboard #1 song. Recorded for Sound Factory ,CMS, ABC-Dot/MCA and SONY records. Appearing on T.V shows like, Johnny Carson , That Nashville Music , Nashville Now, Hee Haw , Don Kirshner, You Can Be A Star (as celebrity judge), New Country appearing with Keith Whitley , Crook & Chase , Country Sportsman and Music City Tonight.

These days Allen is celebrating success in a different genre' of music Christian Country Music/Country Gospel. He has celebrated several #1 song's since releasing his first Christian Country CD in 2007. Allen has been featured in magazines like Singing New's , Christian Voice and Power Source Magazines. A self penned song written about his dad and heavenly father titled A MAN OF HIS WORD made it into the top #5 in Southern Gospel Music, charting on the Christian Voice "Southern" Gospel Music Charts which is kinda hard for a Christian Country/country gospel artist to break into. The same song made it all the way to NUMBER # 1 in the nation on the Christian Country Music charts. A MAN OF HIS WORD was also nominated for song of the year at the ICCMA's in Nashville TN in 2009. Allen is grateful for the success he has received in Christian Country Music. Awarded the Agape Outstanding Artist Achievement Award in 2008, he and his family received The Agape Group Of The Year in 2009. Allen also received the 2009 Texas ICGMA Male Artist of the year and in 2010 he was awarded with the Agape Male Vocalist Award. 2011 CGM awarded Allen Frizzell & Family group of the year. The 53rd annual ICGMA's surprised Allen as he closed out the award's show with the Prestigious 2012 Living Legend Award. The Lord continues to open one door after another for Allen's music to reach people for His glory. Celebrating another #1 song titled "I Believe" in the January 2013 Christian Voice Chart's. Allen travels through out the US and abroad each year sharing his music & testimony.
