Large Pine Tree Falls Amongst Several Cars at the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center

At approximately 2:15 p.m. this afternoon a large pine tree fell north onto several cars at the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center.

Amazingly it looked as if no cars were seriously damaged.  Crews were quickly on scene with chainsaws preparing to clear the large tree from the road.  We've had no reports at this time of any injuries associated with this fallen tree.  A large crowd was gathering at the scene to view the fallen timber.

The large tree likely fell as a result of a strong gust of wind and heavy rain that has been hammering the River Region nearly all day due to Tropical Storm Isaac.  We had a photographer on the scene that returned these images from the scene of the accident.
