Hermitage City Council Meets


The Hermitage City Council meet March 17th for the regular monthly meeting.  Mayor Alma J. Harrod presided.  Reports were given by Water/Sewer/Street Operator Mike Wilkerson, Fire Chief Barry Booker and Police Chief Ben Poole.  The Fire Chief told the council that he and other firefighters have been receiving training and the Police Chief reported tt 21 citations were issued in February.  The Mayor brought up complaints about dogs running around town.

Mayor Harrod informed the aldermen that Perry's Lawn Service will do mowing for the same price as last year.  The council then voted to take $2300 out of the sewer depreciation fund to pay Faulkner Pipe $2291.52 for pipe, cylinder scale, oil and a booster pump.

A proclamation was approved for "City of Hermitage National Service Recognition Day. The council was provided a resolution for "regulating job duties.  This resolution will be considered next month.

City Administrative Assistant Lanette Vines presented the February financial statement which was approved.
