Bradley County Medical Center Posts Small Profit


According to the monthly financial report provided during the August Board meeting, the Bradley County Medical Center posted a small profit for the month.  Year to date the hospital has a slight loss.  Efforts to control supply cost have been successful.

Amber Runion, LPN gave the board an update on work ongoing to implement electronic medical records.  This is important to make sure the hospital does not lose incentive funds.

A new radiology table was installed and replaces aging equipment.  Sales tax funds made the new purchase possible.

Chief Executive  Officer Rex Jones told the board that web=based teaching and training classes will be made available for personnel throughout the hospital.

Other reports were provided relating to the nursing staff and home health care.

The following staff recommendations were approved:
David Nguyen, M.D., ER/Family Practice
Perkins Mukunyadzi, M.D., Pathology
Peggy Laxton,RN, Wound Care Specialists
Gary Harrington, M.D., Surgery
Ian Birkett, M.D., Pathology
Andrew Kumpuris, M.D., Cardiology
Sanjeeva Onteddu M.D., eICU

Removed to inactive status were:
Bryan Case, LPN
James Rice, M.D., eICU

The Hospital Board will meet next September 25th.
