Solid Waste Board

Board members of the Southeast Economic Development district meet for their monthly board meeting December 11th at the district offices in Pine Bluff.  The organization is made up of the ten counties of Southeast Arkansas and has representatives of each county, most of the cities and private business on the board.  The District assists the cities and counties with grants and provides an numerous other services.  The boards meets monthly followed by the Southeast Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management Board, whose member are the judges and mayors of the 10 counties.  The District staff serves the solid waste board.

In attendance for the meeting from the City of Warren was Aldermen Dorothy Henderson and City Treasurer Bertia Mae Lassiter.  There was a large turnout for the year ending board meeting.

At the conclusion of the solid waste meeting District Director Glenn Bell presented outgoing Chairman sonny Cox of Arkansas County with a plaque honoring his years of service.
