According to Warren Fire Chief Howard Edwards three local firemen have received their certifications to provide fire fighting instructions as designated by the Arkansas Fire Academy.
This means that each individual is now eligible to teach fire fighting courses. As a result a majority of the instruction can now be done in Warren and local firemen will not be required to attend the Fire Academy in East Camden for a lot of their training.
Receiving certifications were:
Larry Hayes-Captain, Warren Fire Department
Mike Ashcraft-Assistant Chief, Warren Fire Department
Eddie West-Chief, Bradley County Rural Fire Department
The Warren Fire Department conducts monthly training sessions and all firemen are required, over time, to receive training as mandated by the State of Arkansas.
