Creating Historic District in Warren Discussed at Meeting

Members of the Warren Forward group met with the Downtown Network representatives Thursday, March 12 at noon at Molly's Diner.  Accompanying the Downtown Network were representatives from the Arkansas Historic Preservation.  They presented to the Warren group a proposed map outlining the area they felt should be Warren's Historic District and explained the process they would have to go through to make the Historic District a reality.  They also explained the benefits to a community for creating an Historic District.  Those benefits include tax credits on improvements to the buildings in the designated area.
