Warren Police Officers were dispatched to Gannaway Drug Store around 4:24 A.M. Sunday morning June 28th in reference to a glass breakage alarm on the south side of the building. Offices were on the site within a minute but the people or person was gone. Lt. Hildreth arrive soon after and begin investigating. It appears cough syrup with codeine was taken. According to Lt. Hildreth, the case appears to be a smash and grab breakin which is carried out very rapidly. Information provided the Warren P.D. from departments in other cities in South Arkansas indicate similar breakins have occurred in neighboring communities.
