Warren Principal Receives State Award

AAEA Assistant Executive Director presents Mrs. Weaver with award.
Sara Weaver, Principal of Eastside New Vision Charter School, in the Warren School District, has been named "Arkansas Association of Elementary School Principals" Principal of the Year.  Mike Mertens, AAEA Assistant Executive Director, presented Mrs. Weaver with the award at Eastside on April, 26th.  Present were the students and staff of Eastside along with other Warren School Administrators and family.
Mrs. Weaver was joined by her family at the presentation.

This award is given each year to an Arkansas elementary level principal who is respected by students, colleagues, parents and the community at-large; shows a strong commitment to his/her professional growth; shows strong educational leadership by setting high expectations for school staff and students; maintains an orderly, purposeful learning environment.

Mrs. Weaver is in her sixth year as principal at Eastside New Vision Charter School.  Warren School District Superintendent Bobby Acklin had this to say about Mrs. Weaver, "Ms. Weaver has demonstrated to me time and again that she is an exceptional communicator and gifted principal.  She is a highly dedicated professional who

knows how to motivate her students to strive for excellence."  Her assistant principal, Tiffany Gathen, stated, "There are many proficient and dedicated leaders in education.  There are also leaders who, because of their commitment to education and students, must be considered outstanding.  Mrs. Weaver is outstanding."

Mrs. Weaver will represent the Warren School District and the State of Arkansas in Washington, D.C. in the future.
