Work Begins to Remove Asbestos From Burned Out Building on Main

Environmental Protection Associates of Little Rock began work today to remove asbestos from the burned out Words on a Shirt building on Main Street.  They were hired by the City of Warren.  Once they have completed the asbestos abatement, work cleaning up the site and removing all other debris will commence.

This action has been taken by the City of Warren as a result of the owner of the property refusing to respond to the city's request to clean up the site.  The entire cleanup project, including the asbestos abatement, is costing $148,000.00.  The city council has voiced intention to take all legal actions to recoup the taxpayer's money from the owner.
Environment Protection Associates prepare to abate asbestos.
